Le Sex Shop (The Sex Shop).
French comedy about a middle class bookstore owner whose friend convinces
him to convert his failing business into a porno shop. Needless to say
he meets the most unusual people after that. Totally hilarious.
The Presidents' Analyst
James Colburn as a psychiatrist hired to help the President. Things
go crazy when he gets paranoid and runs away. Great spoof of spy movies.
The Russians are Coming! The Russians are
Coming!
Cold war humor about a Russian sub that runs aground off Nantucket
and nearly starts World War III. When I first saw this is in the 1960's
I was aghast that they would even consider making a film like this. Probably
looses a lot without the paranoia of the times.
Jeckell and Hyde Together Again
Mark Blankenfeld, famous for his drug crazed pharmacist sketches on
"Fridays", as the mild mannered Dr. Jeckell who accidently discovers the
ultimate "recreational" drug. Not a good message film for children.
Hudson Hawke
Critics panned this film, but I thought it was fun. Lots of bad taste
by Bruce Willis at the expense of the Vatican.
Ford Fairlane
Critics panned this film, but I thought it was fun. Lots of bad taste
by Andrew Dice Clay. The main character, a private eye, is a weird combination
of a 1950's beatnik, a 1960's hippie and a 1970's disco dancer. Hey, it
worked for me.
