Born: 1797 (?) in Pennsylvannia
Born: 1806 (?) in Connecticut/VermontA family story says Samuel was a War of 1812 veteran.
Some family researchers think he was connected to the Dudley Swezey line in Vermont and that the McNeill family and Swezey Family moved together to Pennsylvannia and on to Iowa. Betsy's brothers are buried in the Caloma Cemetary, SW of Knoxville, Iowa. The last farms owned by Sam and Betsy were just across the Marion County line in Warren county.
