Why dance at ?

I attend these particular dances for a variety of reasons:

• They are close to where I live and/or work.
• They play a certain style of music I like.
• They play a certain mix of music I like.
• I like the mix of dances that go with the music played.
• I like the lesson they give before the dance.
• The number of dancers and the size of the dance floor are compatible.
• They are smoke-free and alcohol-free places.
• People of all ages, from teens to those in the 80's & more, are welcome.
• The price is reasonable.
• Some people I like to dance with attend those particular dances regularly.
• I got started there first, and just keep going there.

And I don't always go to those particular dances on those evenings. I also go elsewhere. I also do other things. The venues listed are just where I dance most frequently. And just because I list something on Friday and on Saturday, or two dances on Saturday doesn't mean I'll be going to all of them. Or even to any of them. I do have a life outside of dancing!

I am studing to become a dance teacher though the DVIDA Sylabus as I teach a variety of American style partner dances. Some of the places I teach occasionally are: Fridley, MN ; St. Cloud, MN ; Fargo, ND; and Sioux Falls, SD.
