Go Go Speed Prius Go!

Toyota of Canada has sponsored a 2003 Prius in the Canadian Rally circuit this year.

I'll be keeping this page as up-to-date as possible. Below are the 2003 race schedule and the Prius' placing in each race that has been run so far. I don't really know the rules and scoring procedures regarding rally racing, so if you spot an error, please e-mail me and let me know!

2003 Race Schedule and Results are as follows:
- Rallye Perce-Neige, Maniwaki, Québec (February 7 - 9) 
   Placed 22/22 National entrants

- Rallye International de Québec, Québec City, Québec (February 26 -March 2)  
   Placed 21/22 National entrants

- Bighorn Rally, Edson, Alberta (May 17 - 19) 
   Placed 9/12 Regional entrants

- Rocky Mountain Rally, Calgary, Alberta (May 23 - 25)
   Placed 16/16 Overall, 10/10 Regional entrants (results are from the above link)

- Pacific Forest Rally, Merrit, British Columbia (June 13 - 14)
   Although they didn't finish the National portion of the race due to a broken wheel,
   the AAFCE team won their Regional class!

- Rallye Baie des Chaleurs, New Richmond, Québec (July 4 - 6)
   It appears that the Prius was not entered in this race as planned. 
   The official results do not mention the Prius at all.

- Rallye Baie defi Ste-Agathe, St.Agathe, Québec (Sept. 5 - 6)
  It appears that the AAFCE team was not able to enter this race as planned. 
  The official results do not mention the Prius at all.

- Rallye International de Charlevoix, La Malbaie, Québec (Oct 20 - 26)
  This rally has been cancelled.

- Rally of the Tall Pines, Bancroft, Ontario (Nov 22 - 23) 
  It looks like the Prius team will not be racing in this final race either. 
  Maybe we'll see them back on the circuit next year?.....   :)

During the race there were online video updates of this first hybrid vehicle ever to compete in a rally race. Unfortunately the website hosting those videos is no longer available.
