Visit Summary:

I had a lot of questions about my car that had accumulated over the winter months, and at my 12-month maintenance one of my dealer's Prius techs answered them all. It is so wonderful to have such a helpful official source to go to with my questions!

Since my wheel locks had begun to rust in less than a year, they were replaced free of charge. Upon noting some additional odd corrosion-like marks on the wheel rims, I was told that I needed to return later and show them to a representative who can authorize warranty repair or replacement. Thankfully it appears that I am not alone in feeling that such corrosion is not normal on such a new car! I'll update this page to let you know how things turn out. Here's a photo of the corrosion

(for more information on what was done about the corrosion, click on the picture to go to a separate page detailing the whole thing):

I went next-door to a shopping mall while the car was being serviced, so I can't say exactly how long it took, but I was told about 1.5 hours and when I came back at that time the car was waiting for me.

Cost of Visit: $0.00 (Provided free under warranty)
