It is the year 2003:

Greenstreak, the first prototype Hybrid Car/Robot designed to run on Energon Spheres, has been built to stop those who would needlessly plunder the Earth of its natural resources. Created from a modified Toyota Prius Hybrid Gas-Electric vehicle, this Greenstreak prototype represents a future in which vehicles emit no toxic pollutants and gain their energy from renewable sources that cannot be commoditized by greedy corporations or people. And when you don't need Greenstreak's automotive capabilities, its robot mode has numerous potential uses such as a state-of-the-art theft deterrent system.

However, benevolent Earthbots such as Greenstreak will not become commonplace without a struggle. The evil Guzzlebots, created by dictators and greedy corporations the world over, are determined to suck the earth dry of its non-renewable resources for the sake of profit and personal luxury. In the capitalistic society we live in, the future will be decided by where consumers choose to spend their hard earned money. Guzzlebots are quite seductive to the average consumer, marketed with flashy ads touting the illusion that greater safety and personal power can be achieved simply by purchasing one. But the battle is far from over: the production of Greenstreak models by the few corporations with the foresight to promote a better future for mankind has peaked the interest of a small but growing segment of the world's consumers.

It is a world in which how we spend our money will influence more than meets the eye. Where will you spend yours?

About the photo: To promote the first prototype Greenstreak model, it was on display at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Independence Hall was chosen for the Greenstreak debut because it represents what amazing good can be accomplished when people choose to band together to better their condition for themselves and for future generations.
