There are reports of widespread confusion, especially among reporters and the major news services.
For the latest we go now to our Washington correspondent Lucy Goosey.
Good evening Joe, it's true, all of the major wire services are confirming that nothing is happening. Media experts here are baffled.
Lucy, has the White House been notified and has there been any official comment?
No, Joe, the President is relaxing at Camp David this week. Sources close to the President tell NNN that he is being briefed on the situation but has no official comment at this time.
Have any Members of Congress commented on these reports.
We haven't been able to contact any Members or their staffers. Most have gone home to their respective states since congress went into recess last week. Besides it is the middle of the night.

Hello Joe, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. I remember a few years ago when we had a similar situation. Fortunately no one was hurt and the condition passed in just a matter of a few hours.
Did they ever figure out what the cause was?
I don't think so, it caught everybody completely off guard.
